Life Group

This was a social shoot we did for our Life Group aka Bible Study Group. We seem to have a 4 year tradition running to partake in a photo shoot each year. They are always fun, and I get to experiment with different forms of lighting, and it is seldom the case that you have 5+ assistants at your disposal.

The idea I had in mind for this shoot was to utilize this forest area, by shooting from different angles and using different lighting techniques for each subject. I also went into it with the idea of one shot per person, as I always believe in quality of quantity. As a personal preference I always choose moody over any other look, so that is why everyone looks so somber. Ha ha, I just thought I would mention that, as one might question this "Life Group";)  It took us just under 2 hours to shoot the 6 members plus the group shot. The group shot proved to be tricky, as it is always tough to set up a shot and to also be in that shot, but we seemed to get something that was rather pleasing on the eye. Thanks to Matt Wright for getting this group shot, and to Lee Lubbee for shooting my individual shot. Also to all who assisted with lighting...which was pretty much everyone there.

Award of the day:
Everyone pulled their weight on the day, but the award of the day goes to Andy Ferreira hands down! This brave soul attempted an acid drop (jumping with skate board in hand and landing on it under foot) out of a tree...with slops on. He ended up on his butt in a pile of pine needles...a hay stack may have served him better, but he managed to escape unharmed.

Reason for the Group:
We are all like minded in that we all love and serve our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ.
As believers, we live to share His love with others by sharing the good news of the Gospel and loving others unconditionally. This group is there to bring our King glory, whether that be in worshipping Him, reading and discussing the Bible, or just listening to one another, whatever we feeling spiritually led to do I guess.

Amen!;)
