Callen's Crazy Birthday Shoot

For Callen's 18th birthday present her mom gave her a photo shoot. Callen specifically requested that she did not want a model shoot, but more of a fun quirky shoot. We had loads of fun throughout the shoot, as you can see. We started off in a forst and then moved to a friends house, where we set up a studio. I just couldn't let the sunset go to waste so I ended up turning my back to the studio backdrop and shooting with the sunset as a backdrop instead. For those of you who were wondering, yes the photoshopping of the composite images did take ages. It took me 1.2 hours to complete the editing of the forest scene. The cake throwing scene was fairly quick and painless. The scene with all the Callen's with the white backdrop however took a very long time! But was all worth it in the end.

Thanks Callen for giving me just the right amount of crazy that I was in search of. And thanks for baking me a cake. I've always wanted to take photos of cake being thrown at someone. It is very fulfilling you know;) Big thanks to Ash Coonan and folks for allowing us to "cake" their house;) Also to Ruthie for assisting me. You sure have good endurance!
